NI-Limits Competition!

US$ 300 REWARD!

It has been confirmed that we no longer wish to use the penguin as our company mascot and are looking for something new and more relevant to what we do.

We are seeking a vector-based design, but do intend to animated the character in the future and use it across a broad spectrum of mediums so are not looking for something too cartoon-ish in nature.

Although we are based in Malaysia, our full company name is No International Limits, so we feel it is more important to symbolize what we do, rather than where we come from.

The Reward:

Not only will we give you three hundred dollars ( US$ 300 ) to spend on your friends or mother’s friends, but we will also feature you in several of our blogs and possibly even offer you a job, which at the very least, you could always turn-down and use as a story to brag about with your friends!

The runner-up will receive US$ 60, as will the person who owns the site from where the winning designer discovered the competition.

The Rules :

We are open to anyone and everyone living and will accept multiple entries per person.

We will accept any digital form of entry, whether it be an illustration of just the mascot, a new logo concept or a splash page, animation, banner, or movie – so long as the proper entry-form is submitted, the more flushed-out your concept is, and the more supporting documentation or alternate visualizations and scenarios that are used to support your idea will obviously improve your chances of winning.

During the initial stage of submission, images alone will suffice, but all finalists will be required to re-submit their work along with the master-files and supporting documentation.

All initial entries must be provided before the 30th of September, 2008 and any entries already submitted can be re-submitted, altered or edited anytime before the deadline, so long as the proper submission forms are used to do so… By the 5th of October, 2008, all finalists will be informed of their finalist status and will be required to submit the final master-files within 7 days in order to qualify for a chance at the title!

So long as we have more than 10 entries, a decision will be made by the 14th of October, 2008 and announced not only on the blog but with a private email to each and every person who entered the competition.

Judges will include the five board of directors that control NI-Limits.

The NOT-so-Small Small-Print :

Please note that all designs must be composed of graphical elements either entirely designed by yourself, or using 100% royalty-free imagery.

Any finalists will need to submit master-files showing some form of history for the design in an editable state, for we will not accept unoriginal pieces of work and need some way to validate whether or not you have actually designed these pieces of art.

All master-files sent to us will then become the intellectual property of NI-Limits for us to do as we wish with.

Pada masa ini, kami tidak lagi ingin menggunakan penguin sebagai mascot kami, dan mencari mascot baru yang lebih sesuai.

Kami mencari rekaan vektor, namun kami juga bercadang untuk menggunakan maskot tersebut dalam animasi, serta medium-medium yang lain, maka kami inginkan sesuatu yang tidak kelihatan terlalu kartun.

Walaupun kami berpejabat di Malaysia, nama penuh syarikat kami adalah No International Limits, maka kami rasakan adalah wajar maskot tersebut melambangkan apa yang kami buat, bukan di mana kami berada.

Ganjarannya :

Bukan sahaja anda memenangi tiga ratus dollar US (US$ 300), kami juga akan menceritakan kejayaan anda dalam blog-blog kelolaan kami. Kami juga mungkin menawarkan peluang kerjaya bersama kami kepada anda.

Pemenang kedua akan memenangi enam puluh dollar US (US$ 60), dan begitu juga dengan laman web/blog yang mengiklankan pertandingan ini kepada pemenang.

Untuk mempromosikan pertandingan ini, dan berpeluang memenangi enam puluh dollar US (US$ 60), Cuma tambah kod di bawah ke dalam laman web/blog anda.

Pautan-pautan berikut boleh memberikan rujukan-rujukan yang berguna untuk tahap kualiti rekaan yang kami inginkan.

Peraturan :

Peraduan ini terbuka kepada semua dan seorang peserta boleh menghantar seberapa banyak penyertaan.

Kami menerima rekaan tersebut dalam sebarang bentuk digital, sama ada ilustrasi maskot tersebut, konsep logo yang baru, splash page, animasi, banner atau video, - asalkan submisi tersebut disertakan dengan borang yang diisi lengkap. Rekaan yang lebih lengkap, seperti rekaan yang disertakan dengan dokumentasi sokongan, visualisasi dan senario-senario berbeza meningkatkan peluang anda untuk menang.

Semasa peringkat submisi, imej sahaja sudah mencukupi, namun semua finalis akan diminta menghantar fail asal rekaan mereka dan dokumentasi sokongan.

Semua submisi awal perlu sampai ke tangan kami sebelum 30 September 2008. Sebarang submisi sebelum ini yang telah diubahsuai atau diolah boleh dihantar semula sebelum tarikh tersebut, selagi borang diisi dengan betul. Pada 5 Oktober, 2008, semua finalis akan diumumkan dan finalis tersebut haruslah menghantar fail-fail asal kepada kami dalam tempoh 7 hari.

Asalkan kami mempunyai lebih dari 10 penyertaan, keputusan akan di buat pada 14 Oktober 2008, dan diumumkan bukan sahaja di blog NI-Limits, tapi juga melalui email kepada semua peserta.

Para hakim terdiri dari 5 orang lembaga pengarah NI-Limits.

Tambahan :

Semua rekaan yang di buat haruslah dibuat sendiri oleh peserta, atau menggunakan imej-imej bebas royalti.

Para finalis, perlulah menghantar fail-fail asal yang boleh diubah, yang boleh membuktikan ketulenan hasil kerja finalis. Kami tidak menerima hasil kerja ciplak dan dengan cara ini, kami dapat memastikan bahawa finalis tersebut adalah pemilik asal rekaan tersebut.

Semua fail asal yang di hantar kepada kami menjadi harta intelektual NI-Limits.
